Summer Camp 2012

Throughout the summer your child will experience a variety of enriching activities such as basketball, soccer, baseball, flag football, arts & crafts, cooking, painting and much more! Our summer curriculum is based on 2012 weekly themes from literature books our students read at EAC, and offers children a constant source of new and interesting material and activities. Camp available in weekly sessions and 11 convenient locations in Austin.

What makes us different from other programs?

  1. Experience: We have been partnering with Central Texas school districts for 41 years to provide after school programs.
  2. Resources: We are the largest child care organization in Central Texas.
  3. Reliability: To support working parents, we operate all day, after school, on student holidays, and during the summer.
  4. Quality: We offer trained staff and low ratios (17 students : 1 child care provider at max). We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, which provides monitoring and random site visits.
  5. Curriculum Activities: We offer developmentally appropriate activities and projects, which are created by our on-site Curriculum Coordinator.
  6. Affordability: Annually, we provide over $1 million in financial assistance to low-income families.

NEW Programs During School Year 11-12

Extend-A-Care for Kids offers after-school services at KIPP Austin Elementary and Middle School, Gilbert Elementary (DVISD), Gullett Elementary, Zavala Elementary and Austin High PreSchool/Infant Program (AISD). We are pleased to extend our services to the families of these communities.

Congress Avenue Mile - May 19, 2012; Register Now!

Extend-A-Care for Kids and the RunTex Foundation chartered "Born to Run Fridays." The physical fitness program provides EAC children with endurance trainings, teamwork activities, and racing sessions that encourage an active, healthy lifestyle.  Children will receive ongoing trainings, and participate in the Congress Avenue Mile Run each year.  To register for the Congress Avenue Mile Run on May 19th, please fill out the attached registration form. Parents can e-mail the application to jgarcia@eackids.org or turn it into your center supervisor by May 11th.
