Extend-A-Care for Kids provides on-site after-school childcare at elementary schools in Austin, Del Valle and Hays Consolidated ISDs. Our programs are designed to accommodate the needs of working parents by being both affordable and high in quality.

Student Holiday on Nov. 10 for AISD.  Registration deadline is on Oct. 31st.  See special Sessions tab for school locations.


What makes EAC different from other after-school programs?

  1. Years of Experience: We have been partnering with Central Texas school districts for 40 years.
  2. Extensive Resources: We are the largest childcare organization in Central Texas.
  3. Year-Round Services: To support working parents, we operate all day, after school, on student holidays, and during the summer.
  4. Quality Care: We offer trained staff and low ratios (15 students: 1 Group Leader at max).
  5. A Licensed Program: We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, which conducts independent monitoring and random site visits.
  6. Quality Curricula: We offer developmentally appropriate curriculum projects, which are created by our on-site Curriculum Coordinator.
  7. Fee Assistance: Annually, we provide over $1 million in childcare subsidies to low-income families.
