Customer Service Receptionist Cashier

Summary of Duties: Greet clients and visitors.  Refer clients and center staff to the proper staff member.  Answer multi-line telephones in a friendly and professional manner and take messages.  Type, file, make copies, and other general office duties.  Assist in processing enrollment applications.  Responsible for the summer and other special sessions enrollment:  receive applications, log applications in the computer system, run verification report and reconcile with applications.  Responsible to open cash register every morning and create batches in Great Plains for the register and co-workers’ register.  Receive payments (cash, checks, and credit cards) for monthly fees, special sessions, and late pick up fees.  Provide customers with a printed receipt; check account information before receiving payment, in case of an existing balance pending.  Balance register every afternoon at end of shift with a staff member from the accounting department.

Minimum Qualifications    

Education/Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age or older, with a high school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and in a friendly, professional manner with the general public.  Fluent Spanish is required.  Teller experience is preferred.  Knowledge of basic data entry, cash register operations, organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent math skills required.  Upbeat, energetic and friendly personality a must.

Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm, Monday through Friday

Salary Range: $12.60 per hour. Benefits include paid employee medical and dental insurance, paid holidays and vacation leave, and a retirement plan.
