Summary of Duties:Supervise a group of elementary school children in a licensed after-school program using good management techniques. Provide a safe environment for children and encourage good health and safety practices. Comply with all required policies, procedures, and regulations. Maintain positive interpersonal relations with everyone involved in the program, including children, parents, school staff, supervisors and coworkers. Provide children with a variety of enriching experiences, with a good balance between free choice and planned curriculum activities: indoor and outdoor play, sports and games, arts and crafts, homework time, reading, math and science activities, field trips and more.

Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent. Prefer experience working with elementary aged children. Must have negative TB test and be certified in CPR and First Aid (may be acquired in training).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of child development, what to expect of children in different situations, and group management techniques. Ability to organize activities and make sound judgments. Ability to communicate positively with children, parents, school staff, and coworkers. Function well in a team environment. Flexible and willing to work at different locations to meet the changing needs of the organization.
Locations: On-site at 60 elementary schools in the Austin Independent School District, Del Valle ISD, and Hays Consolidated ISD.
Hours:May vary depending on location: 2:15pm or later to 6:00 or 6:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Salary Range:$9.00
