Special Sessions

Extend-A-Care for Kids offers child care during winter and spring breaks, and operates during student holidays.  To meet the needs of working parents, we provide optional, all-day child care to Extend-A-Care students from 7:15 am – 6:30 pm (7:00 a.m. for students in Hays CISD).  These "Special Session" programs operate at selected schools.  Additional fees and registration are required for all-day child care. Registration details including fees and activities will be mailed to Extend-A-Care families approximately one month prior to each holiday.  

Students are enrolled on a first come, first served basis.  Parents registering their child for full-day child care must complete and return the registration form and required fee to Extend-A-Care's business office prior to the registration deadline.  Fee assistance is available to qualifying families seeking to enroll their child in full-day child care.

Information about locations will be posted at least 1 month prior to holiday.

Spring Break 2008

Are you looking for some fun activities for your child to do during their spring break?  Extend-A-Care for Kids will offer optional all-day child care for spring break camp.  SBC will include the usual variety of fun-filled and enriching indoor and outdoor activities plus special projects based on the curriculum theme. 

Locations for AISD are: Cunningham, Menchaca, Casis, Patton, Zilker, Pleasant Hill, Oak Springs, and McBee.  Location for DVISD is Baty.  Location for HCISD is Buda.

Registration deadline is Feb. 29th.  

AISD

Feb. 25th Student holiday sites are: McBee, Brentwood, Andrews, Patton, Dawson, Allison, Pleasant Hill and Baty (DVISD). Registration deadline is Feb. 15th at 6:00 p.m.  Late Registration deadline is Feb. 19.

Additional fees and prior registration is REQUIRED for any holiday during which Extend-A-Care provides child care services.

Extend-A-Care will provide child care on the following days:

1. On regular school days for after-school care
2. On Student Holidays at selected schools; separate registration and fees required: October 8, November 12, and  February 4 & 25 
3. For Winter Break, December 21 – January 7; for Spring Break, March 10 – 14; and for Summer 2008 (at selected schools; separate registration and fees required)

1. When schools are closed/close early due to weather or emergencies
2. On Labor Day, Thanksgiving (November 21 – 23), Christmas Day, New Year's Day, MLK Day, Memorial Day, and July 4th
3. Several days in May prior to the beginning of Summer Day Camp
4. Approximately 1-2 weeks prior to the first day of the school year for cleaning of school buildings, by request of the school district.

DVISD

Extend-A-Care will provide child care on the following days:

1. On regular school days for after-school care

2. On Student Holidays at selected schools; separate registration and fees required: October 8, and November 12, January 18, February 25, and May 5

3. For Winter Break, December 24 – January 4; for Spring Break, March 10 – 14; and for Summer 2008 (at selected schools, separate registration and fees required)

4. Early on days when the school calendar indicates an early release for children released at 12:30 p.m.

1. When schools are closed/close early due to weather or emergencies

2. On Labor Day, Thanksgiving (November 21 – 23), Christmas Day, New Year's Day, MLK Day, March 21, Memorial Day, and July 4th

3. Several days in May prior to the beginning of Summer Day Camp
